Spotlite On Summer 2022.

   FALL
Muyonyo

While sitting in our medical clinic in February 2014, a quiet young man parked his motorcycle and walked into the clinic carrying his guitar. Later that day I asked “Where is the Doctor today?” “He’s right there….the quiet young man with the guitar was examining patients. Eight years later, Dr Lukwago Mathias is CEO of Health Restoration Uganda and the Medical Director of Uganda Mission Project. He has Diplomas in Clinical Medicine and Community Health. He holds Bachelor Degrees in Medicine and Surgery.

Our first medical mission together took place in 2015, the Doctor, the driver Pastor Steve and I rode 3 hours to the remote fishing village of Gomba to serve God’s people. Prior to this “Doc” took this ride on his bike alone to reach the most vulnerable people with his knowledge and CARING HEART for NO PAY. Dr. Lukwago volunteers at several hospitals and clinics engaging the interest of other young Doctors, Dentist, Nurses and community health professionals to join his mission to serve the underserved in Uganda.

We began to organize village medical clinics during our Annual February Mission trip to Uganda in 2017 under Uganda Mission Project. Our host churches and Pastor’s are Dominion Church Bujagali Jinja, Pastor Bagoole Moses and New Hope Church Matuga district Pastor Kommando and the village of Gomba. The team has served thousands in these locations in 2019 and 2020. Although Covid 19 stopped our USA team from traveling to Uganda, our medical team under the leadership of Dr Lukwago continued to serve our communities in 2021 and 2022 from the generosity of our family, friends, and church donors. We appreciate every person that has contributed to helping God’s people have access to medical services. The clinics provide general checkups, medicine, malaria testing, HIV testing, minor surgeries, male circumcision, family planning, Breast and cervical cancer prevention education. If you would like to support our medical clinics please use the DONATE button for Uganda Mission Project and tell us in the note section.

Thank you so much !
